Zato Connect is packed with all the features you’d expect from Atomos, and streamlined for speed. A brilliant monitor, essential I/O and onboard recording are just the start of it. Connecting to the cloud with Zato gives you superpowers. That’s because you can capture, edit and post your social media content in the fastest possible way.

While you shoot, Zato uploads your video to the cloud. It will just be “there” for you as soon as you’re ready to edit – or a friend can start editing while you’re shooting. There’s no downloading because, with Atomos Edit*, part of Atomos Cloud Services (ACS), you edit in the cloud, via a browser, on almost any device.

Camera to Cloud (C2C) is a simple-to-use, secure method to share media and collaborate in real-time. Through Atomos Cloud Studio you have a choice of C2C platform: Adobe Frame.io or Sony Ci Media. Zato Connect acts as a gateway to the cloud for an increasingly wide range of digital cinema, mirrorless and DSLR cameras that would not otherwise be able to connect to a network or manage file transfers.

Frame.io is famous for its review features, and it now integrates perfectly with Adobe Premiere. Zato Connect is a gateway to the cloud for an increasingly wide range of digital cinema, mirrorless and DSLR cameras that would not otherwise be able to connect to a network or manage file transfers.

Dreaming of streaming?

Zato is built for streaming. With network connectivity and easy on-screen set-up, it’s simple and fast to produce and deliver the best-looking live streams. Anyone can set up a stream using Atomos Cloud Studio and Zato Connect.

With a high-brightness touchscreen display, you can configure your stream and monitor HDMI and webcam sources. Choose picture-in-picture and add graphics overlays for a fully-produced look to your streams.

Zato Connect gets you in the cloud for streaming, cloud editing with Atomos Edit* or craft editing with Premiere via Frame.io. Adobe Camera to Cloud (C2C) integration, powered by Frame.io, allows you to upload high-quality H.264 recordings for real-time collaboration and approval workflows.

You can also use Zato Connect to convert almost any HDMI or USB UVC source to a format you can send directly to Microsoft Teams, Slack, Zoom and other conferencing software via its universally compatible USB UVC output.

Zato is packed with must-have features to make your streaming life go smoothly. Has a bright, clear 5-inch  monitor and records and plays back in bandwidth-friendly H.264, mixing audio at the same time. Tools include picture-in-picture and graphic overlay effects to help compose and focus your shots.

Stream from Anywhere

Connect to the internet using Wi-Fi 5 or Ethernet (via USB-C adapter) via your home/work network or cellular hotspot. Zato Connect is an ideal solution for live streaming in the field, the studio, or practically anywhere else. Mount it directly on a DSLR or mirrorless camera, but it’s equally at home next to a multi-input switcher, such as our AtomX Cast, or a gaming console for a fully computerless streaming workflow. You can power it for hours from a single NP-F battery or use mains power via USB-C PD.

Record and Restream

You can record an HDMI or Webcam input or your ongoing livestream or presentation as a backup. Recordings are to an SD card in the bandwidth and storage-friendly H.264 format. You can then use these recordings to stream “as live”. It’s the best of all worlds.
