This class will cover the unique photographic problems that arise when shooting photos that will be used for real estate marketing: shooting in a confined space, interior lighting problems, photo editing problems that arise from using ultra-wide-angle lenses, and working under tight time constraints.





UNDERSTANDING YOUR DSLR II: EXPOSURE & METERING

Understanding the basics of exposure and metering are the building blocks to becoming a good photographer.  Unique University Head Instructor Michael Downey will teach you these fundamental basics of photography, such as the relationship between f-stops and shutter speeds, as well as understanding the positives and negatives of ISO/ASA sensitivity with your image sensor and more!
 
 
UNDERSTANDING YOUR POINT-AND-SHOOT CAMERA

This course will be instructed by Unique University Head Instructor Michael Downey.  Students will learn how to take advantage of today’s features and controls such as scene modes, white balance, video, in-camera image manipulation, image transfer, as well as how to view and understand the histogram and other features of the LCD screen.
 
 
INTRO TO MACRO & CLOSE-UP PHOTOGRAPHY

It is often said that more is less and less is more; with Unique University's Introduction to Macro and Close-Up Photography, students will learn how to get the most out just a few square inches.  Capturing brilliant color and razor sharp detail, macro photography is a delicate blend of preparation and execution. When combined with proper knowledge, the materials become a worthwhile photographic experience.

WORKING WITH CANON SPEEDLITES

Instructed by Unique University Head Instructor Michael Downey, this course teaches you how to use your EOS camera with the Canon Speedlite 430EX and above.  You will learn how to modify light with on-camera flash, off-camera flash, as well as the setup and use of wireless IR transmission system.

Learning to use light in your photography will take the quality of your images to a new level you didn’t think possible.  If you are interested in improving portrait and location photography, your time will be well spent. In this workshop, we’ll start with the basics of using camera strobes off-camera and take it all the way to multiple head studio lighting for dramatic and flattering portrait results.
