Underwater Fashion Shoot... With Sharks!

"I think we're going to need a bigger lens."

I wish I could have been in the room when cinematographer Shawn Heinrichs said to photographer Kristian Schmidt  "I know -- Let's do a an underwater shoot with the world's largest sharks!" Then again, I think I'd prefer to be in the room when they told the models it would be a fashion shoot!

Yes, you read that right... A fashion shoot in the waters off the coast of a small municipality in the Philippines surrounded by whale sharks. You might remember a story we posted a while back on Facebook about a now-viral photo Heinrichs took of one of these magnificent creatures underneath his boat. Not to be outdone, he and Schmidt stepped it up to do a full-on fashion shoot.

Whale sharks sometimes weigh as much as ten cars and may reach lengths of up to 40 feet. Luckily for these adventurers, they're also quite docile. More images may be found below.
