Dan Lelchuk photographs the space shuttle Endeavour at LAX.
What do you get when you mix StopTech brakes, a few digital cameras, and the space shuttle Endeavour? If your answer was "Super cool photographic transformer," you'd get brownie points with me, but alas, you'd also be completely wrong. Dan Lelchuk, president of Centric Parts, was given a rare opportunity to shoot one of the space shuttle Endeavor's final trips before it was, um, shuttled off to the California Science Center in Los Angeles for a well-deserved retirement. Armed with a Leica M9 sporting a Summilux 50mm f/1.4 and a Canon EOS 7D with a 24-70mm attached, Dan captured this historic moment straight from the tarmac at Los Angeles International Airport.
