While they aren't allowed to play in the games quite yet, our robotic friends will still play a large part in the 2012 Olympic Games. In our previous post about the Olympics, we showed a teaser of the remote controlled cameras that will take pictures of athletes from way up in the rafters, but today we have a sneak peak of the engineers at AFP building the machines. They are the same people responsible for the world's fastest legged-robot, cleverly name "Cheetah"...Watch out sprinters, they're coming after your medals! The video shows the cameras in action and you can hear the Nikon D4's rapid burst shutter snap away at record speed. AFP's robotic cameras are stationed at 15 different positions in the Olympic venues and are ready to get the winning shot for the opening ceremony tomorrow. While the city of London may not be excited about the traffic coming in, we're sure excited to see the resulting images from the games.
