I've owned one of the Reto Ultra Wide cameras for about 6-months now and I love it. It's a fun 22mm fixed point and shoot with no thrills but lots of enjoyment. I was stoked to see that Reto & Kodak teamed up to drop the Reto-Kodak Ektar H35 Half-Frame Camera. Utilizing the similar 22mm fixed F/9.5 lens as the original Reto this half-frame camera gives you all the fun in half the frame size! Shooting a standard 36-exposure roll of film now gets you 72 photos! The build quality on this camera is plastic sure, but it is definitely going to hold up decently to constant use.
One of my favorite aspects of this camera is that it shoots all of the photos in a vertical orientation. It makes for fun and simple posting to social media with the vertical photo orientation. The camera even has a built-in flash for when you're not shooting in direct sunlight which does require an AA battery. At only $50, this point and shoot half-frame camera is a lot of fun and something that everyone should take around to BBQ's and family outings. Imagine the fun this little camera can be at Six Flags with some friends? To me, this camera takes all the joy of the original Reto and doubles it. It's a fantastic and fun little 35mm half frame camera that you can enjoy and won't break the bank.
