Reader Submissions: MILC Sample Photos

[caption id="attachment_2819" align="alignright" width="300" caption="Photo by Matthew Sweetwood"][/caption] I recently wrote about the coming wave of MILCs (mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras).  Although I forgot to mention it at the end of my post, I am always happy to receive submitted photos from readers.  You can always add them to our flickr group as well, but it's nice to get some recognition on the blog.  This week I was sent some photos by Matthew Sweetwood and Marisa Teller.  Ok so Matthew isn't an ordinary reader, he happens to be my boss and the President of Unique Photo.  (Check out his twitter @UniquePhotoPres).  Well he loves photography and his Olympus E-PL1.  He proudly boasts that the E-PL1 "is the best camera for travel photography landscapes" when paired with the impressive Panasonic Lumix 7-14mm f/4 lens.  Marisa is a reader who submitted her NEX-5 photos after seeing my review on the NEX-5.  She really likes the camera and the advantage of the big APS-C sensor.  The NEX-5 has about a 1-stop advantage over micro 4/3rds cameras at higher ISO settings.  A real low-light winner, now if they'd only make some fast prime lenses for it. (hint hint Sony!)  Anyway MILC cameras have taken off in Japan and are now growing in popularity here in the US.  Send me some of your pictures taken with a MILC and I will be happy to post them here on our blog! -MZ[gallery link="file" columns="4"]
