How to Modify your Polaroid Camera to Use Fujifilm

The term Analog Photography makes the modern day photographer cringe, however, analog photography is very much alive today. Although majority of photographers prefer digital photography, Alastair Bird managed to shoot photos with a modified Polaroid camera.

The following video shows Alastair with a Polaroid 110B. Alastair believes that the camera was invented in the 1960, and the film was available quarter a century later. The solution to issue: he modified the camera to use 4 x 5 instant film from Fujifilm. He also made arrangement for a hot shoe-to-PC adapter, through which he could put his studio lights to use.

The camera works like an old gadget, which you’d stumble across in your attic. The camera folds and it needs to be extended to use its range-finder. Alastair says that its challenging to get your shot focused and frame it the way you want. Another problem encountered by Alastair is that he ended up with shots that were either over- or underexposed. He also added that he had to keep a close eye on metering.
