For many photographers who work in high volume, Lightroom has taken place of Photoshop for swift effective post work. Although it isn't practical for more intensive edits, the line is getting even more blurred with the announcement of Lightroom 5 Beta. One of the major improvements is a more intelligent healing brush where corrections are easier to manipulate, visualize and edit.
Other features included are radial filters that allow circular masks, advanced perspective control and smart preview to browse through offline images. Lightroom 5 Beta is available for free download here and will use a different catalog if you have a previous version since it's a beta version and no where near final release.
