New York City is full of characters...Here's a look at one of those grizzled New Yorkers who's been in the game for a long while now. As a Photographer he's well known for living inside a giant mansion that used to be an old bank in the Bowery, as well as having a prosperous commercial career. One of his most notable images is of MIles Davis that was used on a record you might have heard of. This is the same image that inspired some debate over fair use of copyrighted material, but perhaps we'll save that for another time. Since Maisel has retired from the commercial world, he's been a prominent hunter gatherer, taking pictures of anything that catches his eye from the street or his rooftop.
