Did you know that wolves are the largest members of the Canidae Family? Or that they have about 200 million scent cells that can smell another animal from over a mile away? How about the fact that their jaws, bearing 42 specialized sheering teeth, have the crushing pressure of nearly 1,500 lbs/square inch? Although fierce predators, they are also one of the most majestic animals that come to mind. Fortunately, you won't have to get all Liam Neeson in the woods while trying to capture their fierce beauty. This December, Unique Photo and Tamron are teaming up to offer the opportunity of a lifetime: The chance to view and photograph various species of wolves at the Lakota Wolf Preserve in Columbia, NJ. You'll have numerous opportunities to get unobstructed pictures of Timber, Tundra, and Arctic wolves (even some bobcats and foxes) in their natural settings through "portal openings" in the fencing. Tamron will even provide some loner lenses for the excursion, so here's the perfect chance to try them out if you've ever been curious about their glass. You don't want to miss out, otherwise all you're have left to photograph is Unique's own member of the Canidae family. We're talking about Duke of course, who I've given the official title of a lunch supervisor at the office. Remember, spots are limited. More information is available at the Unique University website and you can sign up here.
