Google Glass to have a 5 MP Camera

Google has made a huge announcement recently that should definitely excite all technology buffs. As per the latest specifications for Google's Glass Explorer edition, the online giant stated that the prime addition would be a 5 MP camera capable of capturing high quality images at 720p videos. The camera will feature a memory capacity of 16 GB, of which 12 GB will be available for use. The amount of storage capacity that Google is providing is quite large for the relatively small size of this product, and is akin to the memory of a base model iPad.

Henceforth Google Glass will only rely on a slower 802.11B/G Wi-Fi, in its quest to save power and chip size, as opposed to its earlier 802.11N Wi-Fi system, which was certainly faster but consumed way too much power. The change in Wi-Fi system would also provide more space in the Glass' circuitry to accommodate the requirements for the 5 MP camera. Google also claims that the display for capturing images and videos would be analogous to a 25-inch HD monitor at a distance of 8-feet. In all, users are guaranteed an amazing visual experiences with the new Google Glass. Further good news is that users can use the camera for a complete day, without any concern for the battery draining out.

You shouldn't encounter any discomfort while utilizing the camera for long periods, since the Glass comes modifiable nose-pads and a sturdy frame that provide a secure and comfort fit. You also receive two surplus nose-pads in different sizes along with the Glass. There are some other features that should benefit the new 5 MP camera. Foremost among those is the Glass' effortless capability to pair with any mobile handset with Blue-tooth facility. This would make it very easy to transfer and share all the media that you shoot. Google Glass also comes with an innovative application known as the MyGlass companion that requires an Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich or higher operating system to function. This application is said to lend several novel and unique properties to the way you shoot your pictures and videos.

It can be safely said that if you were a dedicated user of Google Glass' earlier version or if you want to try out the latest model that is about to be launched in the market, then the Google's Glass Explorer edition with the new 5 MP camera should be your best bet.
