Fuji Announces New Finepix Models at CES

As the CES conferences continue, manufacturers like Fujifilm are announcing the latest editions to their product lineups. Apparently, this is a big year for the Finepix line with the addition 7 new cameras, including the new 42x and 50x superzoom bridge cameras.

The Finepix HS50EXR (pictured above) is Fuji's new flagship camera geared for those who enjoy the point and shoot mentality, but envy the design of a DSLR. It features a 16MP EXR CMOS II sensor,  3" articulated LCD screen, 920k dot EVF, 1080p60 HD video, an impressive 42x zoom (24-1000mm equivelant), and boasts to have the world's fastest autofocus in it's class at 0.5 seconds. They're also offering the HS35EXRa  a scaled down version that will which excludes 60fps video and has 30x zoom. The price for the HS50EXr is set for $550 while the HS35EXRa will go for $400. Both are expected start shipping in March.

Featuring a similar articulated screen is the SL1000 with 50x zoom (24-1200mm equivalent) up to 10fps at full resolution and 1080i HD video @ 60fps ($400)

Three midrange superzooms were announced: S8300 ($300), S8200($310), and S8500 (Available in Europe Only) All feature a fixed 3" screen with different focal lengths: 40x, 42x and 46x respectively.

For the extreme crowd Fuji has the Finepix XP60: A rugged waterproof camera (up to 20ft) freeze and shock-proof,  with 16MP sensor, 5x zoom, image stabilization and 1080i60 video.  ($200)

Last up is the FinePix T550 and T500,  vanilla point and shoots with 16MP sensor, 3-inch screen or 2.7-inch screen, 12x  zoom and 720p video.
