Happy Friday Y'all! It's the beginning of another great (albeit snowy) weekend which means it's time to relax and decompress. I figure this would the perfect time to start something that's been brewing up in my head. Something not so techie, maybe even a little fun...figure that! Without further ado I present Unique Photo's " Flickr Friday Photo of the Week"
We made a little poll on Facebook and it seems that many have forgotten about Flickr. What a shame! I think this would be a great platform for those of us locally or from afar to share images, inspire and interact. Kind of like an old school darkroom community. You put a lot of effort into these photos, so why not have them be seen?
Every Friday I 'll feature an image or two from the Unique Photo Group Pool on the U-Blog. Right now there are quite a few contributors, but I bet there are so many others out there who have great work to share. It's by no means a contest, rather a way to praise talent; be it amateur or professional. Heck, you might even see some of my work in the pool!
Today's first photo of the week is from Tammy Lee Bradley titled "Afternoon Tea"
I might be sucker for black and white, but there are a lot of cases where I've seen dull, desaturated images that don't really tell a story. This isn't the case with Tammy's photo. I'm loving the lush tonality and the tight crop that's inviting me into this cozy setting. What a great atmosphere it's creating with the chair in the back drifting off into a dreamy haze; and I'll be damned if it's not doing a good job of making me want a nice cup of green tea with honey. Kind of fitting for this messy weather, isn't it?
If you have some shots you're really proud of, why not jump in the pool. There's really no restrictions - just don't flood the feed, or post something offensive. Trying to keep the positive vibes going B-) So what do you say? Show us what you got!
