Warning: It's about to get very nostalgic in here. Today we have a little promotional video for Polaroid's iconic SX-70 Land Camera which is sure to bring you back to much simpler times...please do your best to keep the heavy sighing to a minimum as you make your way down memory lane. This light-hearted video was made in 1972 by Charles and Ray Eames, who are widely known for their designs in architecture and modern furniture:
" Established as pre-eminent communicators and visual masters of their day, the Eameses were asked by Polaroid to make a promotional announcement about the SX-70, the camera that would revolutionize instant film. As would be expected from Charles and Ray, the film went beyond advertisement and spoke to the unique splendor of photography." (Eames House Timeline)
Did this give you the urge to go pick up a fresh pack of instant film? Polaroid won't help you here, but luckily Fuji is still at it with the Instax Cameras. They might not be as retro, but you'll still have as much fun.
