Not the most exciting news, but Nikon announced some firmware updates for a few of their older cameras. The D700, D300 and D300s now have support for Nikkor 800mm f/5.6E FL ED VR lenes.
- Firmware update A 1.11, B 1.11 for Nikon D300
- Firmware update A 1.02, B 1.02 for Nikon D300s
- Firmware update A 1.04, B 1.03 for Nikon D700
You might recognize the 800mm f/5.6 as the most expensive lens that Nikon has to offer. Also there's this video: Its kind of like the inception of unboxing videos.
One last update is for the Coolpix P7700 which fixes an issue with ISO in manual mode:
"When shooting with shooting mode set to M (manual), ISO sensitivity set to Auto, ISO 80-200, ISO 80-400, or ISO 80-800 and the flash used, ISO sensitivity was sometimes not locked at ISO 80 and a different ISO sensitivity was sometimes applied. This issue has been resolved."
