Night photography, like any specific area of photography, should be treated as it's own animal. Through long exposure we can capture surreal images from just about any setting. Stars leave kinetic trails while the luminosity from even the faintest glow of the moon can simulate daylight. To make the subject even more immersive, we can "paint" light onto to the frame to achieve endless possibilities: Something overdone like writing your name out with an LED pen or something much more subtle like detailing highlights and opening up shadows in an exposure. Lance Keimig falls into the latter category of lighting painting, but he should be considered a sculptor of light with the level of detail that he puts into a single image. The way he (and his friends) paint light onto his subject is an art in its own right and the images he creates are surreal without being out of this world, and furthermore quite stunning.
