Canon Introduces Pinch-Style Lens Caps

I had the chance to play around with the Canon EOS-M last night. Their long awaited entry into the interchangeable lens market provides great images, but leaves something to desire in the auto focusing department (Read: SLOW). One interesting little addition I noted was the inclusion of a ::drumroll please:: pinch-style lens cap.

Congratulations Canon. Welcome to industry standard!

I kid, I kid.  The new design will also coincide with the recently announced 24-70mm f/4 IS and 35mm f/2 IS, as well as any new EF lens down the line. This should make it a little easier take off the lens cap when a hood is still attached. Not the most ground-breaking news, but still progress. That's what we like to see.
