600,000 Pixel-Wide 360-Degree Panorama of Tokyo

The picture above is just a snippet from a 360-Degree Panorama of Tokyo which was painstakingly created by Jeffrey Martin. He's no stranger to this type of work...Martin also holds the title for the world's largest photo with his 320 Gigapixel image of London. Although this one isn't as mammoth at 600,000 Pixels wide, it's still just as impressive. The equipment he used was a Canon 7D and 400mm f/5.6L lens on a Clauss Rodeon VR Head ST robotic panorama head. This rig took  10,000 photos over two days. In order to stitch the final image together they needed a 12-core Fujitsu Celsius R920 workstation with 192GB of RAM...12 weeks was needed to process all the files and now we have this awesome 180 Gigapixel panorama. Warning: You get incredibly lost in it...there goes your afternoon!
