Join Bobby Stormer for a class all about tracking and photographing wildlife right where you live. Most people think you have to book a flight to Alaska or trek through a rainforest to get great wildlife photos, but Bobby has spent years proving that some of the most rewarding encounters happen just minutes from home. Foxes, birds of prey, coyotes, songbirds, bears, river otters, waterfowl, raccoons, the list goes on… they’re all out there. When we slow down and learn the land around us, an entire world opens up!
Bobby will teach you how to understand the native wildlife in your area by learning their ideal habitats, behavior patterns, diets, sleep routines, breeding seasons, preferred weather, and peak activity times. Once we know what animals need and how they move through the landscape, we can begin to find them consistently close to home.
From there, Bobby will break down the photography essentials that turn everyday encounters into compelling images. You’ll learn how to use natural light, build stronger compositions, anticipate moments, and choose settings that support both technical accuracy and creative storytelling.
Bobby calls it the art of being in the right place at the right time. By developing awareness—reading signs, recognizing patterns, and understanding behavior—you’ll learn how to predict wildlife moments before they unfold and capture them with intention.
Finding wildlife close to home allows you to practice more often, improve faster, and build a deeper connection to your environment. Whether it’s stepping into your backyard, stopping somewhere on your lunch break, or exploring a small patch of woods after work, Bobby Stormer will teach you how to turn your local landscape into a year-round wildlife destination.
