PADMA INGUVA called New Jersey her home for over two and a half decades after she immigrated from the artistically rich lands of India. In her early years, she inherited a love for gardening from her father, which led her to nurture an abundant garden in her backyard. She spent several seasons nourishing some rare and familiar plants very patiently and enjoyed being rewarded with bountiful blooms. Her garden would be in full bloom during the short New Jersey summers and her love for enjoying these picturesque landscapes was short lived each year.

Photography was as a natural progression to capture and permanently etch the fruits of her labor which eventually evolved into fine art. What started as capturing flowers and foliage from her own garden, quickly extended into neighborhood gardens, roadside wildflowers, local nurseries, and botanical gardens broadening her playground in photography. She relishes telling a story of the progression of a flower through its various stages via the images she captures from buds to decay.
