EXPO: Distortion and Focus with Jesse Korman

Jesse Korman is a Director, Film Producer, and Photographer. With a background of 18 years in the music industry as a vocalist and writer for The Number 12 Looks Like You, Jesse wanted to progress and broaden his skills into different fields of creativity. Starting his work in photography as a digital tech in 2011, he moved onto working solo as an onset photographer before expanding into fashion, music photography, fitness and political campaigns. He found working in the film industry a natural form of progression and saw it as the ultimate form of story telling, something he'd particularly felt connected to when writing lyrics. Jesse wanted to push the skills he had developed, and with film making found this was the ultimate platform for expressing his vision, combining music, photography and writing.
Join Jesse and learn about how he got established, the business side of things, capitalizing on being the one-stop shop for clients, and his approach to lighting, directing, and shooting.

His producing credits also include I Used To Go Here (Gillian Jacobs, Jemaine Clement), Chick Fight (Alec Baldwin, Malin Akerman, Bella Thorne), Rogue Hostage (Tyrese Gibson, John Malkovich), Panama (Mel Gibson, Cole Hauser), and As Sick As They Made Us (Dianna Agron, Candice Bergen, Simon Helberg, Dustin Hoffman), directed by Mayim Bialik.
As one of the partners in Yale Productions / Katie Holmes’ Lafayette Pictures, Jesse continues to expand his creative reach. He is set to make his feature-length directorial debut with the horror film Yellow Eyes, produced by Joe Swanberg (VHS, The Rental).
