When photographing people, there are times when one light will suffice and there are times when as many as 5 or 6 lights are necessary.  In Principles of Studio Lighting, John Ricard will talk about the process of building from a simple one light setup to a more complex multi light setup

We will also discuss how using multiple lights affects the posing of the model. This seminar will help you understand how to look at the scene in front of you and break it down into individual elements. You'll light each element to see how it affects how free or restricted your model is in her posing.

After the lecture presentation, participants will be escorted outside where they will have the opportunity to use the principles learned to photograph live models.  Remember to bring your cameras!
