Join wildlife photographer and Unique Photo instructor Bobby Stormer for an evening bird and wildlife photowalk at DeKorte Park in Lyndhurst, NJ.

Located within the Meadowlands, DeKorte Park offers a wide variety of wildlife photography opportunities. Throughout the walk, we’ll search for hawks, songbirds, waterfowl, herons, hummingbirds, and other seasonal visitors — with always the possibility of spotting one of the park’s more elusive mammals.

Before heading out, Bobby will give a brief talk covering wildlife photography techniques, field awareness, and ways to create stronger, more impactful images while respecting the animals we photograph. From there, we’ll explore the park and photograph whatever moments nature gives us. We'll shoot through sunset (approximately 7:45pm), giving us the advantage of softer evening light and increased wildlife activity.

Whether you’re hoping to capture an image for the Sony Alpha x Unique Photo Creators Challenge* or simply want to improve your wildlife photography, this walk is a great opportunity to practice, experiment, and connect with other creators in the field.

*The Unique Photo x Sony Alpha Creators Challenge is open through August 28, 2026, and features four categories, including Bird & Wildlife. Eligible images must be photographed with a Sony camera during the contest period. One grand prize winner will receive up to $2,000 in Sony imaging gear and have their photograph featured by Unique Photo and Sony Alpha.
