Macro Intensive: Hands-on Workshop with Roman Kurywczak

Class Code:
UUU521
Skill Level:
Everyone

Join professional nature photographer Roman Kurywczak as he shares all of the technical tips and tricks needed to consistently achieve tack sharp images in a single frame, both handheld or with a tripod!

Topics covered include gear and specific settings to maximize the time spent out in the field or indoors! Natural light and overcoming distracting backgrounds will be discussed in depth with photographic examples showing you how easy they are to overcome. There will also be a heavy emphasis on using flash correctly to properly balance the exposure and achieve dramatic results. We will look at some frequently used tricks by the pros that you can easily apply in the field to quickly improve your macro skills. Many of these tips and tricks are inexpensive and can be done using the gear you already own!

Following the lecture, the group will take the lessons learned and do some hands-on macro photography with Roman! Make sure you bring your camera with a fully charged battery and a flash if you have one and want to learn how to use it. Roman's technique relies heavily on a flash, but even a pop-up will do! There will be several opportunities to ask questions and ensure that you go home with a better understanding of how to create tack sharp macro images of your very own.

*Limited to 15 registrants.
*Don't forget your cameras and flashes!
*Please note that there will NOT be a lunch break. You're welcome to bring snacks for shorter breaks.
