Hey everyone — I’m Shea Gordon, a Long Island native born and raised in Hempstead, NY, and a proud girl dad to one incredible daughter who unknowingly sparked my entire photography journey. Before I ever picked up a camera, I was an athlete through and through — basketball courts and football fields were my safe havens. I’m honored to be part of Hempstead High School’s last New York State Boys Basketball Championship team, a moment that shaped my competitive drive and discipline. That same drive carried me through prep school, collegiate basketball, and eventually into earning a Psychology degree. Psychology oddly enough led me into the IT world, where I now serve as an IT Director. So how did all of that lead me here? Photography found me through fatherhood. Watching my daughter dance — seeing her confidence, her joy, her growth — made me want to freeze those moments forever. I didn’t start with the intention of building a business. I started with the intention of honoring her story. But passion has a way of turning into purpose, and purpose has a way of turning into something bigger than you imagined. Today, that purpose fuels my work behind the lens. My competitive sports spirit pushes me to improve daily, but I don’t see other photographers as competition. I treat this craft like golf or track — I’m focused on beating my own personal best. I’m here to grow, to serve, and to capture moments that truly hit different for the people who trust me with their stories through imagery. I’m excited to connect, learn, collaborate, and continue evolving in this community. Whether it’s sharing knowledge, celebrating wins, or pushing each other creatively — I’m here for all of it.
