Will pressing the shutter on a tripod-mounted Lumia 1020 cause shake, and how can I avoid it?

If I mount a Lumia 1020 with the camera grip on a tripod, could pressing the shutter button by hand introduce enough vibration to blur the shot? The phone has optical image stabilization, but I’m still concerned about movement when taking the picture. Is there a simple way to trigger the photo remotely, or otherwise avoid shake?

What I would recommend doing is simply using the self-timer functionality of the software. You should be able to do this with essentially any smartphone software, but if the built in software does not allow for it, most downloadable camera apps do. Using the self-timer of 5-10 seconds it will allow the camera to steady itself from any hand induced shake before the image is captured. I use this technique all of the time when I don't have a remote shutter release available for my DSLR, and it works just the same on a tripod mounted smartphone.
Beyond that, we have quite a few resources already on this site that answer many of the questions that you have, see:

Yes, pressing the shutter can introduce a small amount of vibration, even on a tripod-mounted phone. Optical image stabilization helps, but it doesn’t eliminate movement caused by physically touching the device at the moment of exposure.
The simplest solution is to use the camera app’s self-timer. A 5- or 10-second delay lets the phone settle completely after you press the button, which is a standard way to avoid hand-induced shake on both phones and cameras. If the built-in app doesn’t offer a timer, many camera apps do.
So for the sharpest tripod shots: compose, set a short self-timer, then let the phone take the photo without touching it during exposure.
