Why does my photo look different in Lightroom Print compared with Develop?

In Lightroom, my image looks correct in the Develop module, including the color adjustments. But when I switch to the Print module, the preview looks more like the original image, even though the crop appears to remain. Why would the Print preview not match what I see in Develop, and what settings should I check?

The Print module should use your Develop adjustments, so if the preview looks different, the most likely cause is color management rather than Lightroom ignoring your edits. Check the Print Job settings, especially the selected printer/profile and rendering options. A mismatched ICC profile, printer-managed color vs Lightroom-managed color, or soft-proofing/display differences can make the Print preview look noticeably different from Develop.

Also confirm you are viewing the same virtual copy/version of the image and not a different copy in the Print layout. Since the crop stays, your edits probably are still there; it’s the preview rendering that’s changing.

In short: review Print module color-management settings first, then verify you haven’t selected a different copy of the photo.
