Why am I seeing circular artifacts in some shots with a Canon 5D Mark IV and Sigma 35mm Art?

I’m using a Canon 5D Mark IV with a Sigma 35mm Art lens and I’m noticing ring-like/circular artifacts in some images, but not all of them. They may be more noticeable in shots with shallow depth of field. Has anyone seen this combination cause that, and is there a camera setting I should check?

It is a common problem when using some 3rd party lenses. Just turn off the in-camera lens corrections.
