I want to use a Cokin P Series graduated ND filter kit with holder on my Olympus E-510 and the 14–45mm kit lens. The kit description says an adapter ring specific to the lens is needed, but it does not list lens compatibility. What adapter ring size do I need for this lens, and is the P Series suitable?

As the advert says...
"Everything you need to get started, apart from adapter ring specific to your lens diameter."
Google tells me that lens has a 58mm thread, indicated by the ⌀58 on the front.

Yes — you need a Cokin adapter ring in the correct thread size for your lens. Based on the answers, the Olympus 14–45mm lens uses a 58mm front filter thread (usually marked as ⌀58 on the lens), so you would want a Cokin P Series 58mm adapter ring.
Important: this is not just a normal step-up ring. It must be the Cokin adapter ring for the P Series holder, because it has the flange the holder attaches to.
The P Series should work, but one answer notes it may be larger than necessary for this lens. If you are starting from scratch, a smaller Cokin series might also be worth considering depending on your lenses. Still, if you specifically want the P Series kit, the key item you need is the 58mm P Series adapter ring.
Before ordering, confirm the lens thread marking on the front of your lens to make sure it says 58mm.
