I'm looking for websites where photos are easy to browse by season, time of year, holidays, or cultural events so I can find relevant inspiration. Are there any good places to explore images this way?

The closest I could think of would be to check some websites such as Flickr or Picasa. For example, on Flickr, if you go to the explore section, or check the popular tags (relevant to the season) section http://www.flickr.com/photos/tags, it's very likely that people would upload pictures relevant to the current season/holiday afoot.
The flickr blog http://blog.flickr.net/en also features some "seasonal" posts.

A practical option is Flickr. Use Flickr’s tags to browse seasonal subjects like winter, autumn, Christmas, spring, or specific holidays and events. The Explore section can also surface popular current images, which often reflect the season or holiday people are photographing at that time. Flickr’s blog may also feature seasonal collections or posts.
Based on the answers provided, Flickr is the strongest recommendation for this kind of inspiration browsing.
