I’m setting up my real estate photography offerings and want to define a simple basic package. For a standard entry-level package, should I specify certain rooms/views, or structure it by a set number of delivered photos instead? I was initially thinking of including exterior front, entry, kitchen, bedroom, living/family room, and bathroom.

You should offer packages that consist of a number of photographs. They buy a 6-shot package and you give them the 6 shots of the rooms they want. You might want to shoot all the rooms and offer additional shots / differnt shots of the same rooms at a small additional.

A practical basic real estate package is usually easier to sell as a set number of delivered images rather than a fixed list of rooms. For example, offer a 6-photo package and let the client choose the most important spaces.
That approach works well because every property is different: some homes need more kitchen/living coverage, while others benefit from extra exterior or bedroom shots. You can still photograph more than the final 6 during the session, then deliver the selected images and offer additional photos or alternate angles for an extra fee.
This gives agents flexibility while keeping your base package simple and clearly defined.
