What causes a consistent light leak in the same area on a Hasselblad A12 back?

I’m seeing a repeatable light leak in the middle of my frames on a Hasselblad A12 back. I initially suspected the back seals and replaced the light trap, but the leak remained in the same position. There is also some damage along the edge of the back that seems to roughly line up with the leak. Could the back damage be responsible, or is there another common cause on Hasselblad V-series cameras?

After finding very similar pictures of leaks online, and talking to an experienced repair guy, I found out that the leak is caused by an improperly closing auxiliary shutter.
The Hasselblad V series has two flaps on the back of the body, which need to make a proper seal together to prevent light that is coming through the viewfinder from reaching the film plane. In my body, these just don't touch perfectly snugly.

A leak that appears in the same place even after replacing the back seals suggests the problem may not be the A12 insert seals alone. On Hasselblad V-system bodies, a known cause is the auxiliary shutter/light baffle at the rear of the camera body: the two flaps must close tightly together to block stray light, including light entering through the viewfinder path. If they do not meet snugly, light can reach the film plane and create a consistent leak.
The edge damage on the back could also contribute, especially if it lines up with the leak, but based on the reported repair experience, the improperly closing auxiliary shutter is a likely culprit to inspect first. As a quick diagnostic, temporarily taping the suspected exterior gap can help confirm whether the back damage is involved. If the leak persists, the body’s rear shutter/baffle mechanism likely needs adjustment or repair.
