What are the two hooks on the Manfrotto 055XB tripod for?

I have a Manfrotto 055XB tripod and noticed two hook-style attachment points near the base. One appears to be the center hook used for hanging weight to improve stability. The other is a flexible hook that bends when pulled, and it doesn't seem like it would hold much force. What is that second hook designed for?

Thanks to Stan Rogers - I googled for "MStrap-1" and got images of Manfrotto carrying straps attached to this hook. Though it doesn't feel like a strong attachment point, clearly it's capable of carrying the tripod around on.

On the Manfrotto 055XB, the rigid hook is for hanging weight, such as a bag, to add stability. The flexible hook is intended as an attachment point for a carrying strap. Community replies identified it as compatible with Manfrotto’s MStrap-1 tripod strap. Even though it feels less solid than the weight hook, it is designed for carrying the tripod rather than suspending extra load.
