I bought a LensPen sold as a Nikon LensPen in Nikon-branded packaging and priced similarly to Nikon's official listing. After opening it, I noticed it feels a bit cheap and its shape and color look different from the product photos on Nikon's website. Could this still be a genuine Nikon-branded LensPen, or does the different appearance suggest it's a counterfeit?

Nikon doesn't actually manufacture the Nikon lens pen. The supplier that produces them for Nikon also markets them as the LensPen. They recently introduced a "new and improved" version. There are also "micro" and "mini" versions of the LensPen on the market.

Your photo looks like the newer version.
