I have a lens with visible fungus, and I may not be able to have it cleaned for a couple of months. What’s the best way to store it in the meantime to reduce further growth and avoid affecting my other gear? Should I keep it sealed in a dry container, put it in the freezer, or store it another way?

Leave it with all of the glass exposed to sunlight on a regular (daily) basis. UV light does not allow fungi to grow. Also leave it as far from all of your other photographic equipment as you can.

Store the lens away from your other equipment and expose the glass to sunlight regularly. UV light helps inhibit fungal growth, so keeping the lens where it can get daily sunlight on the exposed glass is better than leaving it closed up in a dark cupboard.

Do not store it right next to your other lenses or camera bodies; isolate it as much as practical until it can be properly serviced. Based on the advice given, sunlight and separation are the key steps. A freezer isn’t the recommended solution here.
