How do I generate 1:1 previews for photos already imported in Lightroom?

I know Lightroom can build 1:1 previews during import, which makes culling and zooming through images much faster. For photos that are already in my catalog, is there a way to force Lightroom to render 1:1 previews after the fact for a selected set of images or a collection?

Select all the photos you want to render previews on (Ctrl-A or the like).
In the Menu system - Library -> Previews -> Render 1:1 Previews

Yes. In Lightroom, select the photos you want previewed, then go to Library → Previews → Render 1:1 Previews. You can select all images first if needed (for example, Ctrl/Cmd+A in the current view or collection). Lightroom will then build full-size previews for those selected photos, which helps speed up browsing and zooming later.
