How do I export JPEGs from Lightroom without a gray or black border around each photo?

When I save photos from Lightroom as JPEGs, each image ends up with a gray or black box/border around it. I want to export the photos normally with no added border. What Lightroom export method should I use?

Select the images in the Library module and click "Export..." in the lower left.
It sounds as if you might be using the Print module to export to files.

Use Lightroom’s normal Export command, not the Print module.
If you export from the Print module, Lightroom can add page/background styling that makes the image look like it has a gray or black box around it. To create standard JPEGs without that border:
- Go to the Library module.
- Select your photos.
- Click Export… in the lower-left corner.
- Export as JPEG from there.
That will give you normal image files rather than print-layout files with extra framing or background.
