How do I enable exposure preview on a Panasonic Lumix G7 in Manual mode?

On my Lumix G7, when I shoot in Manual mode, the live view stays at an automatically adjusted brightness even if my shutter speed, aperture, or ISO would make the photo underexposed or overexposed. Is there a setting that makes the EVF/rear screen preview the actual exposure instead of auto-brightening the scene?

You can do this by set in menu Monitor / Display -> Constant Preview to On.
This will set it for viewfinder and for rear screen. The disadvantage is when you use slow shutter speed you will have challenge to compose the image. If you want you can assign this switch to some button to simplify on/off switch

Yes. On the Lumix G7, turn on Constant Preview in the menu under Monitor/Display. That makes the rear screen and EVF reflect your manual exposure settings, so you can preview whether the shot will look brighter or darker.
One caveat: with very slow shutter speeds, the preview can become harder to compose with because the display is no longer being auto-brightened. If you switch this often, it can be useful to assign the setting to a custom button for quick on/off access.
