How can I recreate Snapchat’s built-in photo filter look in Photoshop?

I’m trying to mimic the standard Snapchat photo filters that appear after taking a picture and swiping right — not geofilters. In particular, I’d like to reproduce the more vivid, colorful filter, and possibly the lighter/darker and black-and-white looks as well.

Is there a Photoshop plugin, preset, or action that matches those built-in Snapchat filters? If not, what adjustments in Photoshop would get close to that colorful Snapchat-style effect?

it's just a warming filter it seems, I know you want the "official snapchat filter" in your photoshop presets, but unfortunately you're not going to find that intellectual property. I would suggest looking through other presets such as some instagram presets to find one that warms the photo and adjusts the saturation and brightness close to the filter in snapchat you like. from the research I've done snapchat filters are constantly changing, and you cannot find names for any of the filters to even have a starting point of what to look for. even if you did you would never truly find the exact filter.

I suggest taking a photo with your cellphone, and sending it to your computer to try out filters on, while also having it loaded into snapchat, with the filter you like placed on the original photo, that way you have something to reference to the presets you're trying out to find the closest option.

just remember you will be searching for presets, and a lot are paid, but you can still find quite a few free ones.

There likely isn’t an official Photoshop plugin or action for Snapchat’s built-in filters. Those looks are proprietary, can change over time, and may not even have public filter names, so finding an exact match is unlikely.

To get close in Photoshop, start by building the look manually. From the example described, the colorful Snapchat filter is essentially a warmed-up image with boosted saturation and some brightness adjustment. In practice, try:

  • warming the white balance or adding a warming photo filter
  • increasing vibrance/saturation moderately
  • slightly adjusting brightness/contrast to match the app look

The best approach is to use a Snapchat-filtered version of your original photo as a visual reference while editing the same image in Photoshop. Compare them side by side and fine-tune warmth, saturation, and brightness until they’re close.

If you want a reusable workflow, save your final adjustment stack as a Photoshop action or preset once you’ve matched it to your liking.
