How can I download all my Flickr photos in original size before closing my account?

I have about 52,000 photos stored on Flickr and want to close the account. I need to download everything in original size, ideally with metadata, and avoid tools with small limits or manual downloading of individual images. What’s the best way to export a large Flickr library in bulk?

Flickr has its own tool to export all your account data. This article on Macworld explains the steps you need to take. I've quoted them below:
1.Log into Flickr via the web. (The Yahoo login account requirement is going away soon, too.)
2.Click the account avatar in the upper-right corner, and select Settings.
3.In the bottom panel, “Your Flickr Data,” click Request Flickr Data
As pointed out in the comments, the above method would leave you with a large number of .zip files to download when you have 52k photos. The java command line utility flickrdownload might be a solution there, as it
allows you to download all of your photos and the associated metadata from Flickr
I don't have a Flickr account, so I can't test, but it appears that with just two commands (one to authenticate, one to download the photos) you can download your whole library.

Generated from our catalog & community — verify before relying on it.
Flickr’s own export feature is the first place to start. On the Flickr website, go to your account avatar > Settings, then in “Your Flickr Data” choose “Request Flickr Data.” That lets you export your account data directly from Flickr.
For a very large library, be aware this may result in many ZIP files to download manually. If you want a more automated bulk-download approach, one community-suggested option is the command-line tool flickrdownload, which is designed to download all of your Flickr photos along with associated metadata.
So the practical answer is:
- Try Flickr’s built-in data export first.
- If managing many ZIPs is too cumbersome, use a bulk-download utility such as
flickrdownloadfor a more automated full-library download.
Before deleting the account, verify that the files you downloaded are the original-size versions and that any metadata you care about was included.
