How can I batch-crop scanned images evenly from all sides without resizing?

I have multiple scanned images with rough or jagged edges that I want to trim uniformly in batch. I’m not trying to straighten or resize them—just crop the same amount from every side while keeping the crop centered. For example, if an image is 1000×1000, I want the result to be 950×950, removing 25 pixels from each edge. Is there a way to do this in Photoshop or Lightroom, or another tool that can batch-crop from the edges by a fixed amount?

Yes—this is a valid batch task, but Lightroom isn’t the best fit for precise fixed-edge cropping like this.
In Photoshop, a practical approach is to record an Action that reduces the canvas/crop area by the same amount on all sides while keeping the anchor centered. For your example, that means reducing width and height by 5%, which removes 2.5% from each side. Then run that action as a batch on the folder. Make a backup first before applying it to many files.
Another tool mentioned for this job is XnView MP, which can batch-crop from the edges directly. You select the files, choose the Crop action, set it to crop from edge, enter the amount to remove on each side, choose the output location/naming, and run the conversion.
So: Photoshop Actions or XnView MP can do this; Lightroom is not the ideal tool here.
