Yes, that can be normal. The two metering modes are not directly equivalent. Olympus ESP is more like an intelligent center-weighted pattern, while Panasonic’s multi metering is closer to an overall evaluative/average approach. Because they prioritize different parts of the frame, they can recommend different exposures in the same scene.

So a consistent difference such as about 2/3 stop does not, by itself, mean something is wrong with your camera settings. It more likely reflects different metering behavior and tuning between the brands and modes.

If you prefer the Panasonic files a bit brighter and want to use more highlight headroom, applying exposure compensation for that mode can be a reasonable workflow—as long as you confirm it suits the kinds of scenes you shoot.
