I'm looking at the Canon 5D Mark IV and know its 4K video uses a significant crop (often cited around 1.74x). There were rumors years ago that a firmware update might reduce that crop. Did Canon ever change the 4K crop factor via firmware, or is it still determined by the camera's sensor/readout design?
