There doesn’t appear to be a direct way to change the Batch Queue Manager’s built-in default settings. A practical workaround is to use Save Workflow from the Queues menu.

This saves the current queue’s tools and their settings as a reusable workflow. The saved workflow then appears in the Workflow tab, where you can load it later (for example, by double-clicking it) instead of re-entering the same options each time.

So while you may not be able to replace the true defaults, you can effectively avoid repeated setup by creating and reusing a saved workflow.
