Can the Canon Rebel T3 use one press to start and another to stop a Bulb exposure?

On my Canon Rebel T3, Bulb mode currently requires me to hold the shutter button down the entire time. Is there a way to press once to open the shutter and press again to close it for exposures longer than 30 seconds?

The canon 760D has bulb function that you have to hold down, so if I want to do a long exposure I have a wired remote, Shoot RS- 60E3 Wired Remote £3.59, that will lock open the shutter until you release it, if you go back and press the shutter button to close the shutter you could move the camera and spoil your shot.

Not on the Rebel T3 itself. In Bulb mode, the camera normally keeps the shutter open only while the shutter button is held down. The one-press open / second-press close behavior is usually called Time mode, and that is a separate feature some cameras have, but not typically on this model.
The usual solution is to use a remote shutter release with a locking switch. You press to start the exposure, lock it, and then unlock/release it to end the exposure. This is also better than touching the camera again during the shot, which could cause vibration and blur.
