Can Lightroom show the in-camera JPEG instead of the RAW when importing RAW+JPEG?

I shoot RAW+JPEG, and sometimes I use in-camera color styles on the JPEG. In Lightroom, the RAW version is what I see by default. Is there a way to make Lightroom use the JPEG as the preview instead of the RAW, or otherwise work with the JPEG alongside the RAW more easily?

About the best you can do in LR is to check "Treat JPEG files next to raw files as separate photos" under 'Preferences--->General' and view each separately.

'Photo--->Stacking--->Auto-Stack by Capture Time' will auto arrange each JPEG/Raw set next to each other.

Lightroom doesn’t let you replace the RAW’s display with the separate JPEG version as the default preview. The practical workaround is to have Lightroom treat the JPEG and RAW as separate files so you can view either one directly.

In Lightroom, enable: Preferences > General > Treat JPEG files next to raw files as separate photos

That will import/show both files instead of hiding the JPEG beside the RAW. To keep each pair organized, you can then use: Photo > Stacking > Auto-Stack by Capture Time

This will place matching RAW+JPEG shots together so they’re easier to compare and manage.

So, not exactly as a RAW preview replacement—but yes, you can make the JPEG visible and keep it paired with the RAW.
