Can Lightroom show a before/after view in Library Loupe view?

In Lightroom, the backslash () shortcut shows the before/after view in the Develop module. In Library > Loupe view, that same shortcut toggles the filter bar. Is there any way to see a before/after comparison in Library Loupe view without switching to Develop?

It is not possible. Your best bet for before/after views in the library module is probably to create a virtual copy before you start the editing.

No. Lightroom’s before/after view is available in the Develop module, not in Library Loupe view. In Library, the backslash shortcut is used for the filter bar instead.
A practical workaround is to create a virtual copy before you start editing, then compare the edited version with the copy in Library.
