Can Lightroom export two JPEG versions of the same photo in one step?

I often need two exported versions of the same image: one optimized for web use and another for printing. Right now I batch export twice with different Lightroom export settings, which is inconvenient—especially when I don't always want every selected image exported both ways. Is there a way in Lightroom to create two JPEGs with different export settings from one click, or do I need a plugin or external workflow?

There are workarounds but no, not a native way.

You can export large images and then have another program create the smaller ones, or you can run two exports.

I just skip all that and use Image Processor Pro in Photoshop to create multiple sizes.

Lightroom does not natively export two different JPEG versions from the same source in a single export action. One export applies one set of settings to all selected files, so the built-in workflow is still two separate exports.

Common workarounds mentioned were:

  • export once at full size, then use another program to create smaller web versions
  • use Photoshop/Image Processor Pro for multiple output sizes
  • use a Lightroom plugin such as RC Export Manager, which can run multiple export presets in one operation

So, in Lightroom alone: no. If you want one-click multi-output exports, you’ll need a plugin or an external post-export step.
