Can a Nikon external flash battery pack be adapted to a Godox TT685N with Canon-style power port?

I use a Nikon camera with two Godox TT685N speedlights. I found some Nikon speedlight battery packs cheaply and wondered if I could adapt their male Nikon connector to the Canon-style high-voltage power port used on Godox flashes. I was able to find Canon pinout information, but not Nikon pinout details. Is this adaptation possible, or are the systems electrically incompatible?

It turns out that the Nikon connections are all (relatively) low voltage. There is no 300V output, which the Canon connection requires. To use the power supply, I'd have to manufacture a hole in the battery door and wire it up to the battery connections. I won't be doing that.
For future reference, just know that Godox uses Canon connections on all of their speed lights, so get a Canon style power pack if you want an auxiliary power pack.

Probably not. Based on the shared experience here, Nikon external flash battery pack connections are relatively low voltage, while the Canon-style external power port used by Godox expects a high-voltage supply (often described as around 300V for the flash charging circuit). That means this is not just a matter of rewiring the plug or matching pinouts—the Nikon pack is not providing the same type of output.
In practice, using a Nikon pack with a Godox TT685N would require bypassing the flash’s intended external power port and wiring into the battery connections directly, which would involve modifying the flash body/battery door and is generally not advisable.
So if you want an auxiliary pack for the TT685N, the takeaway is: use a Canon-style high-voltage battery pack compatible with the Godox external power socket, not a Nikon pack.
